 doctor´s protocol
As soon as you adopt a kitten, arrange for a visit to the veterinarian and make a schedule for the vaccines. Before having received the third dose of the vaccines, the little cat should not be put on the ground of the
streets or in locals where there are other animals for not to take the risk of getting any illness.

  VERMIFUGING
The mother can pass worms to the kittens through the placenta or while nursing them. Vermifuging the female before mating is the preventive way for the kittens to be born free of worms. All kittens should be vermifuged in the following plan:

• 30 days of age: 1 st dose
• 45 days of age: 2 nd dose
• 60 days of age: 3 rd dose

We recommend feces exam as soon as the animal arrives, to check for parasites. If necessary, the Veterinarian will then prescribe the vermifuge for your cat.

  VACCINATION

It is the most important care for the either for the kitten or for the adult cat. The animal should be immunized before having contact with others felines. There are many virus diseases that can affect cats and they are the causes of great number of deaths, mainly in the cubs.

The animal should not be vaccinated within less than 45 days. Scientific studies show that at that age the vaccines are inactive by the antibodies passed from the mother to the cub. If the acquired animal was vaccinated before of 45 days of age, ignore that vaccine. It is also an important thing to give the annual reinforcement of all the vaccines, rigorously following the orientation of the Veterinarian.
